Equivalent Exchange

I'm sick. Miserably, unhappily sick. Sick enough that I actually went to a doctor. *gasps* I know. That never happens. I think it was the coughing up blood that made it so. Ick. 

Well, the verdict... severe bronchitis (in both lungs) and borderline pneumonia. The doc thinks it's medication resistant, so he hit it hard and gave me 1 week to be completely better or he's going to do x-rays and stab an IV in me. WHUT?!? O_o

So.... a shot of antibiotics, a shot of cordisone, 2 more antibiotics, a steroid inhaler (in addition to my normal inhalers for asthma) AND prednisone, not to mention a note that says I can't go to work today and maybe not tomorrow. Now I'm sulking at home, reading a book and watching television while I wallow in the buzz from the steroids. *climbs walls*

Yes. Much whining has ensued. 

Good news is that the new job was REALLY nice. They told me to rest and not come back until I felt better and gave me well wishes. Never had that happen before. Most of my other jobs told me to suck it up and come anyway. Maybe this one's a keeper... *crosses fingers*
