7stages - A New FMA Challenge Community

Introducing [livejournal.com profile] 7stages, a friendly, low-pressure community for Fullmetal Alchemist writers to develop their writing skills.

The reasons behind this are simple. Think of this as a community that allows you to get to know a character or pairing that you don't normally write, that interests you but you haven't fully explored the nuances of yet. Get out of your comfort zone! You may end up finding out that you have a secret passion for Roy/Gracia, or Martel's psyche is a deliciously twisted place. And if you don't like it, well, you only have to write seven fics.

CoS Rocks!!

I am so happy! I got to watch CoS twice on the big screen! The first time was so funny! The theater messed up and started Monster House instead of CoS - insert rabid FMA fans riot here! OMFG I've never seen a problem fixed at a theater as quickly as they fixed that one - less than 5 minutes!! @__@;;

I saw it Saturday night as well, just because I could and it's so much fun to sit and talk with other FMA fans. 

What I thought was really funny was that my husband, who doesn't approve of the RoyxEd pairing at all (poor deprived soul that he is) asked me when it was over, "Did that have some RoyxEd undertones or was it just me? I mean, it seems like they were trying to hint at that relationship a little bit..." I laughed until my sides hurt on that one! But, he is so right... I mean, that movie definitely did more than just hint a relationship there!! XD 

Can't wait until Sept 12 - then the movie comes out on DVD & I am dying to know what extras they put on it!!

CoS!!

Yay!! I bought tickets today!!  XD I'm so excited. I still cannot believe that it's coming to Tyler - nothing EVER comes here (except for country singers to the Oil Palace... but, that's a different story entirely....) I am curious as to how many people will actually show up for it, though. It will be interesting, since there's not a huge amount of anime fans here (as evidenced by the large amount of anime left in the few stores that actually sell it).  However, the movie's not showing anywhere near here, so I wonder if there will be a lot of out of towners coming in for it... Carmike may not know what hit them! XD

Finding light in the dark...

Despite the horrendously bad day I had at work... I did find several things to be happy about.
  1. The cats behaved today. (No temptation to make a cat-fur coat!)
  2. I didn't have to put up with my irritating in-laws in person (only over the phone... and I can let the phone ring all day!)
  3. Husband is still gone, so I can listen to whatever music I want, watch whatever I want on TV, read in peace, etc.
  4. I found out that FMA: CoS will be in a theater here in Tyler on 8/25 and 8/26!! (Who knew?!?!  I figured it would go to Dallas or Houston or another large city!!!
Well - the last one is what really made me happy!! I can't wait!
